New Year New Hair - AD

Happy New Year! Whilst New Year's resolutions may not be for everyone, becoming a better version of yourself is something everyone can relate to. Whether you're setting small goals to live a healthier and happier life or just simply want to treat yourself to a New Year's pamper. In today's post I'm going to give you a round up of the hair trends for 2022 and how you can achieve those looks with today's wonderful sponsor. As some of you may know, I love a pamper session, I feel like it is an essential part of my self-care routine. Salon 38, owned by the beautiful Ashleigh Mant has been the perfect salon for all my hair care needs. I've been visiting Ashleigh for well over a year now and I'm pleased to announce that we're working in partnership to promote an amazing New Year discount.

Hair Trends 2022

1. Emphasising Texture

One of the biggest trends for 2022 is reintroducing cuts and styles that emphasise texture. Many influences stem from 70s and 80s shag styles, most recently seen on celebrities such as Billie Eilish. Whist cutting your hair may seem like a drastic change, stylists have predicted that finishes such as crimping and braiding may be on their way back in as a way of introducing new textures.

2. Facial Framing

2021 was the year of curtain bangs with an influx in clients looking for ways to frame their face. This year is set to be no different with clients asking for wispy fringes and bottleneck bangs. Both of these styles aim to enhance facial features whilst adding an element of softness to the cut. Everyone's face shape is different and will suit a different style whether it's opting for a fuller fringe or something more minimalist like facial framing layers.

3. Dark Brunette

In terms of colour trends, icy/ashy blondes have been the way forward but in 2022 this is set to change. We have already seen celebrities embrace these dark brunette tones, Hailey Bieber being the most recent example. Dark brunettes add elements of warmth and gloss to hair especially when adding cascading combinations of other brown shades.

4. Simple and Sleek

With the increasing popularity of the Dyson Airwrap, people are looking to achieve this look without the hefty price tag of this device. Salon 38 can recreate this smooth and sleek look through one of the many services that they offer. I would personally book in for a conditioning treatment and blowdry. As you will see from the header photo of this post, Ashleigh has created a beautiful wavy blowdry keeping it sleek and simple.

For those based in or around the Surrey area, Salon 38 is the perfect place for all your haircare needs, Ashleigh and her wonderful team have the utmost professionalism and expertise. If you're interested in any of the trends discussed in this post the be sure to get in contact with Salon 38 as they can discuss various options for you. I'd like to say a big thank you to Ashleigh for working with me on this post, it's a pleasure to promote the salon and a huge congratulations on the "Best Salon in Surrey" award.
