4 Tips to Living a Happier Life!

Living a happier life isn't always easy and recently we've all been searching for ways to make it just a tad more enjoyable. For many, lockdown has proved the perfect opportunity to make small lifestyle changes. In today's post I'm joined by self-love and positivity guru Chloe Hodgekinson who's going to be sharing some of her top tips to living a happier and healthier life.

Tip 1
"Fuel yourself through out the day, having enough food and calories throughout the day from foods that nourish our bodies will be key to ensuring our energy stays high and our moods and hormones manageable. Having enough energy helps us with everything else in our lives from relationships to work - which more energy and focus on those things leads to more happiness in my opinion, as we are actually showing up for ourselves."

Tip 2
"Check the stories we are telling ourselves. Are you living a story from the past? Did something happen to you that has meant thats now how you shape your life? For example do you struggle to make friends? Maybe the story is 'people don't want to be my friends' just because that one friend in primary school decided she didn't want to be your friend anymore. Once we're aware of the limiting stories we tell ourselves, we're able to work through them and rewrite them. 'people don't want to me my friend' can becomes 'I attract the people that is best for me every day'."

Tip 3
"Journal your thoughts regularly, express gratitude and set yourself intentions for the day. It helps you be present in the moment, deal with emotions going on in your mind that you need to release and set yourself for a day where you feel happier."

Tip 4
I've spoken briefly about perfectionism on here before, but this can cause a huge amount of undue stress in your life. You trying your best at something should be enough, pressuring yourself to be the best takes the enjoyment out of trying something new.

Coronavirus is spreading, let's all play our part to keep our loved ones safe. Remember to observe social distancing guidelines, wear a mask and keep up to date with government legislation.

Stay Safe xx
