Mothers Day Gift Guide 2021:

Mothers Day is around the corner and with all non-essential retail stores closed in the UK finding a gift might not be as simple as it once was. In today's post I want to show you how you can find the perfect gift for the leading lady in your life. The past year has taught us that it's not about the gifts that you buy people, but instead the memories you make. I know many of you might not be able to be with your Mum's this year because of the restrictions but there are still thoughtful ways you can celebrate whilst abiding by the rules.

Photo Gifts

This is a personal favourite for my Mum, she loves looking back at photos and memories we've made over the years. Vistaprint offers a range of personalised photo gifts, from books, calendars, mugs and stationary. I personally think that a photo book is not only a thoughtful gift that most mums would love but it's also something thats affordable if you're on a budget this year.

An alternative to using a service like Vistaprint is making your own book, you could purchase a scrap book and fill it with your own memories. This can be great if you're looking to include more than just photos, for example; theatre tickets, dried flowers, plane tickets.

I made something similar for my mum a couple of years ago and every year I get polaroids printed of all the photos we've taken together in the last year. It's like the gift that keeps on giving.

This is also the perfect gift if you're looking at posting something, it's an easy size to package up and postage shouldn't be too expensive.

Flowers

This is a perfect gift to get the Mum who has everything, flowers are a beautiful and thoughtful gift that surprisingly doesn't have to break the bank. Whilst it would be great to support your local florists, they can be expensive and not always long-lasting. Instead you could make your own bunch of flowers by gathering flowers from supermarkets (a much cheaper alternative). At this time of year you can pick up seasonal flowers such as tulips and daffodils for a good price. To make your bouquet you will also need tissue paper and some ribbon.

Whilst these aren't as easy to post, they can be delivered to a doorstep if you live close!

Afternoon Tea

We may not be able to go out for afternoon tea at the moment but afternoon tea can most certainly come to you. Cafés across the country have opted to doing takeaway or delivery services. I would recommend looking on different social media pages or contacting your local Cafés to see if they have any Mothers Day arrangements.

Similarly you could also make your own, Pinterest can be a great place to find recipe inspiration!

Coronavirus is spreading, let's all play our part to keep our loved ones safe. Remember to observe social distancing guidelines, wear a mask and keep up to date with government legislation.

Stay Safe xx
