Monthly Obsessions: January 2021

Monthly obsessions are back! I am fully aware that this was a trend from about five years ago but I'm bringing it back seeing as I have so many wonderful products and items that I always want to talk about.  Lockdown can be the perfect time to experiment with some new things and spice up your daily routine.

Rose Quartz Roller

My mum got me this for Christmas and it's honestly one of the best gifts, I use it morning and evening as part of my skincare routine. I find that it's great a depuffing skin and making you look more awake. In terms of rose quartz benefits, the temperature regulation means that it always stays cold and massively helps to reduce inflammation and redness. It is best known for its soothing properties, and its ability to reduce tension and relax facial expressions, reducing the appearance of fine lines.

Prices range from £5 - £25 depending on where you buy them from, but in my opinion, they all do the same thing.

Glow Tonic

My current go-to skincare product, I've used both the Pixi and Aldi one and if I'm honest they're both amazing but just have differences in price. I use it morning and evening after using my facial roller with a cotton pad. It leaves skin looking healthy and hydrated with a lovely glow.

Prices range from £3.99 to £25 depending on where you buy them from.

Electric Blanket

Honestly, such a lifesaver in the winter, as you can imagine a student house and someone who's always cold isn't exactly the best combination. I have one at home and have done for years, but I never thought about buying one for university until a couple of months ago. Getting into bed in the evening with it already being like a nice warm cuddle is the best feeling! Evenings are 10x cosier when I have it on.

Prices range from £20 - £35 depending on the bed size you're looking for. I purchased mine from amazon because I had prime delivery.

Elle Darby's Youtube Channel

A slightly unconventional thing to add into my monthly obsessions, but as you can guess, I am loving Elle Darby's content at the moment. She's an amazing source of positivity with everything that's going on at the moment, but she's also just realistic if she's having a down day where she wants to sit and eat cake all day she'll say. I have to say her videos are the highlight of my week, it's a form of escapism from the world. She also has two very adorable dogs; Herbie and Hector that are just the cutest.
